Terms of Use

1. Authorised users only

This portal is operated by JK Klang Recycle Sdn Bhd (Reg. No. 200601026946 / 746701-K), of Lot 2742, Jalan Haji Sirat, Off Jalan Meru, 41050 Klang, Selangor, Malaysia. Access is restricted to clients we have issued credentials to and to our own staff. By signing in you confirm you are such an authorised user and that you will use the portal only for its intended purpose: recording collections and obtaining the reports issued to your own organisation. Any other access, or any attempt to reach another client's data, is unauthorised. We may suspend or withdraw access at any time.

2. The figures are estimates

The CO₂e avoided, equivalent trees and landfill-diverted figures shown in the portal and on its reports and certificates are estimates, not measurements. They are derived by applying published emission factors to the tonnage we collected from you. The factors and method are those stated on the reports themselves: the US EPA Waste Reduction Model (WARM) Version 16 and the GHG Protocol Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) Standard, Category 5 (Waste Generated in Operations), as set out in the methodology shown with each report. The CO₂e figures are avoided-emissions estimates. They are not a Scope 3 inventory figure; under the GHG Protocol, avoided emissions are reported separately from a Scope 3 inventory.

Emission factors are US national-average figures (EPA WARM) and carry the uncertainty inherent in that approach. Actual emissions outcomes will differ. We may update factors when the underlying published sources are revised, which can change figures for later periods.

3. Your use of the figures

You are responsible for how you use the figures we provide. If you include them in a sustainability report, disclosure, tender, marketing claim or submission to any regulator, exchange or customer, it is for you to satisfy yourself that they are appropriate for that purpose, to state their basis and their status as estimates, and to obtain your own professional or assurance advice. We do not provide assurance, audit or verification services, and nothing in the portal is an assured or verified statement of your emissions.

4. Use of your credentials

Anything entered, submitted or approved using a client's code and PIN, or a staff member's login, is treated as done by that client or staff member. Keep your PIN confidential. If you believe your PIN has been lost or seen by someone else, tell us immediately at hq@jkklang.com or WhatsApp 016-6265671 so we can reset it. After repeated failed login attempts an account is locked and must be reactivated by us.

5. Checking your figures

Please review each monthly figure and report within 14 days of it becoming available, and tell us of any error or discrepancy within that time. Figures not queried within 14 days are treated as accepted. You are responsible for checking figures before using them in your own reporting.

6. Records

The portal's audit trail records what was entered or changed, by whom and when. It is our record of the data behind each report.

7. Availability and changes to the service

We aim to keep the portal available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the portal, and may suspend access where we believe it is being misused. We will give reasonable notice where we can.

8. Ending access

Either party may end a client's access by giving 30 days' notice. We may suspend or end access immediately for misuse or a breach of these terms. On ending, the client can request a copy of its reports.

9. Limitation of liability

The portal and its figures are provided on an "as is" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill or anticipated savings, nor for any claim, penalty or reputational harm arising from your use of, or reliance on, the estimated figures — including their use in any disclosure or claim you make to a third party. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

10. Events outside our control

We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including outages at our hosting or database providers (Vercel, Supabase), internet failures, or force majeure.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms by posting the new version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the portal after that date means you accept the updated terms.

12. Privacy

Personal data is handled as described in our Privacy Notice.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia and are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Malaysian courts.
